That computer thing happens to me now and then.  I have, though, never tried to compute while on a train.  The last train that I took in France was from San Sebastian, Spain to Paris.  That was an interesting ride.

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you stopped by, so now that I know you exist, I can read you too! And it was a good reading. Tschüs!

Re: sam444
I took a Greyhound bus once from Boston to Washington via New York. It was in 1969 (? the year America walked on the moon), and we went through some really, really scary parts of New York, I was glad to be on the inside, even if my travelling companions were also a bit weird...

It's great to be able to travel by train
and Europe has good ones. I plan to be in the Netherlands next week and catch up on my trian travel.  Cheers!

A most excellent ending. I do not have driving privileges due to seizures so my mode of mass transit is the city bus. Flying frightens me so and that is the second option. We have trains but not any where near the scope of France. And we have this little thing called the Greyhound bus lines that cover America, but it one ride and out. The clientele is so scary!  sam

France is way ahead of things on many fronts.  I saw a show recently and learned that many people have  migrated to France because of its health care system.  It does beg the question why are other countries not following France's example.
