You raise a good point, mneme, but these people (and the polls are saying
that they are as many as 30%) think the party has betrayed them and their principles, not the other way around...

I confess I don't know a lot and I'm not an American, but would Hillary's supporters really change sides and vote for Mcain? They would be revealing some pretty undemocratic principles and would you want supporters like that anyway, if you were a good democrat? Or a republican come to that. Don't principles count? Just wondered.
