WE JUST HAVE TO DO THE BEST WHERE WE ARE
And, imperfectly, figure out our place in the immediate environment.

Here we are gonna have to live with a disagreement
it looks like.
I think whatever our place in the universe is, it
is too complicated for us to ever really understand it. Like you I am content
with my understanding and where I am at. Now that does not stop me from looking
for more answers and trying to get closer to figuring it all out. Personally I
think that if you ever actually did fully understand your place into the
universe, your life would become meaningless. Part of what drives us in life is
journey of trying to figure it all out. Once you get the answers, then what
more is there left to do with your life?

I agree that we are all trying to find our place in the Universe,
I disagree with you when you say it is not possible to understand the Universe and our place in it. I do not say I know and understand all things. Such a statement would make me an idiot, since nobody can understand and know all phenomena, but I am certain that I understand enough to be content and no longer search meaning. I have found meaning and I even give meaning to my life myself, or in other words: God gives meaning to my life (and I'm not senselessly repeating a statement someone taught me). I also think that nobody can teach you the meaning of life. You have to find this for yourself, with the help of everything that you experience and without which you would never have been, and will immediately cease to be if it is no longer present. This, on which we are al dependant for our very being, is my God, the ground of all and everything. Everything is constantly showing us the nature of reality, we just need to become aware of that and stop looking for the answers only in formations of words and symbols and specific people, things and events.
