Wonderful wisdom, Ariala..I agree..

Nothing can replace the kindness/assistance of friends or stranger, singular or as a group.

This is such a good post. I don't ever expect anything less, but this is really true. I have prayed for you and Taps so many times when trouble was in your areas. Even though you live in different states, you come under our weather map umbrella and my family prays. We do for all those we don't know, but when I think it is in close proximity to one of our own I pray until I see them post again. Be blessed.

Kabu mentioned greece and Turkey and there was a similar situation between India and Pakistan after a huge natural desaster. All of a sudden, enemies become friends and neigbors, why can't they just go on once catastrophe has passed?

Ariala, when I first came to Blogit, basically out of curiosity, I had no idea I would stay so long.

Perhaps sites like this one will help us to understand each other better, though we may live on opposite ends of the world. I find it interesting how we may have such vastly differing religious and political views, but when it comes to simpler matters like love, life and how to treat other people, many of us share the same ideals, hopes and dreams. Makes one more inclined to be tolerant of differing beliefs..

Your last line really captured me
Wouldn't it be nice if we could treat each other better all the time, and not just during emergencies and disasters? I so agree
I remember Greece and Turkey who are ancient and forever enemies both helping each other in every way possible during times of earthquakes. The rest of the time they curl their lip and growl like intolerant dogs.
