We get ourselves into jams easily but lack resolve to correct them. I like these words of wisdom!  sam

Hence the power of positive thinking...

to go on from experience to experience with a positive outlook, not stained by the last negative experience. Thoughts become things...

Excellent post Troosha, you say it all so well. I have a friend who thinks that I am a "brooding optimist." Sometimes, I feel more like a "joyful pessismist." As you say, it is all about our focus and what we choose to hold on to. The Beatles said that in the end "the love you take is equal to the love you make." Eastern teachings say that (in the end, whenever that is) all of the sucesses, achievments, victories are precisely cancelled out by all failures, disappointments, defeats; leaving a net gain or loss of zero. In the process, we learn to choose. We can accept joy or sorrow as where we want to live. It's all up to us. Moon
