I would think, from what I have heard and read, that not many cults/sects turn out people who can think and problem solve for themselves. I guess that's the idea though, huh?

Several years ago, Jon Krakouer wrote a great book on these kinds of sects. It's called "Under the Banner of Heaven." You might find it interesting.
