Re: This is about new Catharism, isn't it?
Unfortunately I haven't. There was a reference in one of my early primary school reading books to "Katare" and it stuck in my mind for long before I actually started looking into it. I don't actually know any Cathars or pretend to be Cathars, but the impression I get from what they did and taught parallels my own views to my mind anyway, so since I do not find much else in the same vain (except from some eastern orthodox and other gnostic teachings). It is also difficult establishing what people who were almost all killed of were really teaching when most of the records about them were recorded by their opposition. I am descended from Huguenots and other od traditions and was brought up in a fairly new sect and personally I don't want to be associated with a particular existing tradition. That is why i class myself as new Cathar.

Fascinating... "Old Catharism" too... Have you ever visited the south of France? Montségur? I did. There were many Cathars in Flanders, too, you know!
