Don't these people realize that they miss out on the best writers

dont give in
you are a very talented writer. I don't leave many comments, but I do read you. I guess I should try to get better at leaving comments. Lately I have been trying to. I don't know much about negotiating, as all I have tried to do so far is self publish and that was a very big mistake. I did get a song published on a CD, and I am hoping I did right when it came to the negotiating. Only time will tell I guess. But, in all fairness, I think you are right here. I think that they are just looking for a lower bid, and then they will have to realize that when it comes to writing, they should be willing to pay a little more for a good project. I don't think you should give in. jesse_jean

Most people still don't understand that you get what you pay for. I would keep charging what you think you're worth. There's no reason to lower your standards for other people.

My negotiating skills never were strong, but I'm getting better.
On the other hand, there are some things in life that are non-negotiable, like whether or not I'm willing to share my house with someone just because they want someone to pick up after them... Been there, don't do that any more.
