I'm not saying they can't handle it, growler. I'm saying that flagrant
fouls like that should be met with swift expulsion and fines.  Like you said, they're big boys; they can handle it.

Saul

Kevin Mchale bodyslammed Kurt Rambis in '85.  Is he a thug? Should he have been suspended?

In fact, the Lakers got outphysicalled all through the '84 playoffs by the Celtics and lost.  They got tougher in '85 and won.  Just like Jordan got tougher and beat the Pistons and the Knicks.

This has been going on since Wes Unseld, Willis Reed, Bob Lanier, Darrell Dawkins, Bill
Lambier, Fred Roberts, Maurice Lucas, Dan Issel, Jack Sikma, Dave Cowens etc.  Ask the old pros of the 60's if there weren't goons on their teams like hockey.  And Pat Riley brought "thug ball" to it's highest art form when he  coached the Knicks against the Bulls.

This is the playoffs.  Lebron will have to deal with it just like everyone else before him.  And so far he's up 3-1 so it's not an issue.  Apparently, he's a big boy and can handle it.

didn't see the game but, overagression in sports should not be tolerated by no means.

Yeah, sam, and it's unfortunate. But that piece of crap, Stevenson, needs
to be taken out of the picture before he hurts someone.  The NBA needs to take his actions into the context of his earlier bellicose statements toward and about Labron.  They need to suspend and fine him... You could tell by the look on Jason Kidd's face that he was concerned and didn't seem to mean for that incident to happen...

The one on LaBron was awful. I like LaBron, just not when he is playing my team. The Jason Kidd foul was out of frustration. but it looked bad in fast motion. Kidd  is not a dirty player and his flagrant and ejection was probably too strong. I would hope that he does not get a huge foul or suspension. I have never cared for Ron Artest. He is very talented but he is so selfish in all his doings. It will be a bitter battle to the end in these NBA playoffs.   sam
