Nautikos, I dig them out, too...but when you have hundreds, it's tough to
do all at once!

Pat_B, I even heard from a friend in Canada that RoundUp has been banned
there.

I don't know how I missed that memo...
I didn't know Roundup was so dangerous to people. Thanks for the info. I was getting ready to spray some areas on the gravel driveway where weeds are popping up in areas where the car doesn't sit. Guess I'll spread some rock salt. That slows/stops growth for 90 days or so and then gets absorbed into the soil...

Ariala
You can always show B.P. and Tattoo Girl some pictures of diseased lungs, and tell them it's the result of the combined effect of smoking and using chemicals on their lawn...I'm not terribly fond of dandelions either, but I dig them out, there's a tool for that...

Oh, go tell Brad Pitt and Tattoo girl to go make a low budget movie

or something and leave you and your bunnies alone!

Re: Elyse, I've been in a bitchy mood all day and this was the straw that did
Hmmm...well, they'd freak next to our home back in Tyler...my husband lets the wildflowers have their way...now, he's taken to mowing neatly around them...but, he even grows the largest thistles in the world LOL...oh dear me...but, I have no qualms because I love em all as well.  Now, we just dig em up from time to time.  I know there are organic things to purchase, but we're so basic when it comes to nature, we just let it take its course...Tell me what you uncover from your organic search.  Thanks  Elyse

Elyse, I've been in a bitchy mood all day and this was the straw that did

me in! LOL  I don't like the way the dandelions look, but I won't use Roundup...It's been linked to colon and pancreatic cancer as well as lympathic cancers. I will check out some natural/organic herbicides at Whole Foods this week or at a garden center.  I know clove oil as well as various soaps and organic sprays can be used.  I'll look into that. Meanwhile, I'm ranting...LOL

You GO ~ wow, I don't blame ya...yes...I remember this --- oh so well.  I like my hills here.  Ariala, you're quite the 'rant' queen when your dander gets stirred, or your dandelions that is...LOL...Oh well - you try to keep your wildflowers (which is what I call them) from being annihilated and get out your fencing material...(boundaries are always crossed)~Elyse
