Re: Insightful article

Thanks for the in-depth critique of the neo-con forces, their rationale for the Iraq war, and their influence over the Bush presidency. The background on Kissinger just shows that this sort of thing has been going on longer than most Americans would like to admit. As - as a Christian - I also find it appalling that the neo-cons arouse fears of the 'end-tines' - in what is really a cynical play for geo-political interest - keep up the good work

This is an excellent post---one of the few on this site that actually bothers to list used sources.  You won a reader today.

Escellent post, WLee. It seems that much of this type of expository

writing will go for naught on this site, however.  The conservatives hold sway over much of the thinking (or not thinking) that goes on around here.  But I, for one, think that Wolfey, Rummy, Kristol, Cheney, Norquist, and others have led us down a terribly dark road and McCain seems only too happy to keep treading that road.  Nelson is scum, plain and simple.  What he and his bunch insinuated about Ford was juvenile, petty, disgusting, and ultimately effective.  And that a**hole, Hagee, is a rabble-rousing moron.  People want Obama to disown his pastor for comments than Sean Hannity has taken out of context (for the most part) for his own neocon agendizing, but nobody seems to want to call McCain to the carpet for openly accepting the endorsement of an intolerant cretin like Hagee.

Sometimes, WLee, politics is a nasty business...
