Xeno, we're there. Due process is truly a thing of the past. Habeus Corpus is in the trash. Instead of reading the talking heads of the media and letting them tell us what our govenment is doing, Americans should be reading the bills coming out of congress and watching C-SPAN; they should be crossing the street and finding out what the other guy is saying, then find out if its true. Oh wait, that would cut into their TV time.

Well, we could always repeal it and let the chips fall where they may. Don't you feel that we are in a new world today because of terrorism? Sometimes changes are necessary. One of the presidents' duties is to protect the people of this nation. I realize that liberals hate this act but you and I will never know how many times many lives were saved by these searches. That will never be known. Wonder if 9/11 would have happened if we had practiced this before 9/11?
Repressive regime?
You are not allowed to have anything associated with Christianity in our schools. Yet we had, on April 25 in the middle and high schools in North Carolina, a day proclaimed as "Non Bullying Homosexuals Day".
If you choose to smoke a cigarette then you are close to being arrested for doing so.
You can spout hate speech towards white people but towards any others is seen as a crime.
etc.etc.etc. I can go on for days. Yes I do agree with about a repressive regime. Of course, I realize you will disagree with me on all above issues because you are a liberal. So, pull the troops from all overseas nations, outlaw searches and have talks with terrorist like HAMAS and I am sure our nation will be the better for it. BULL!

What scares the hell out of ME is that we are supposed to be safe ni our houses and safe from unreasonable searches and seizures and we are not.
The Constitution and the ideas of the Founding Fathers have all been eroded, leaving the door open to a repressive regime, as if we are not already under one that has no respect for individual rights.
