you are correct -- except
there seems to be too much going on for any kind of solution to be found for this all.

Africa is a mess brought about by colonialism.  various tribes inhabiting the same countries whose borders were artifically drawn by colonial European powers.

Then the U.S. ignoring and neglecting Africa to set its sights on others that they have made into enemies, and concentrating on defending Israel too much.

But the problem is huge, beyond anyone's ability to cope with it at the moment.  The U.S. is strained beyond capacity with Afghanistan and Iraq, and seems to want to take on Iran now -- there is no possibility for the U.S. to deal with Africa.

So who can?

And Tibet?  -- China is too much a money maker for many U.S. corporations.  U.S. won't address that problem.  Or any pertaining to China.
