days of yesterday

Days of conflicts solved

with war

such as this

politics

of rhetoric

not backed

with the grace

of what is right or wrong

have discredited

our men and women

to the world

our children pay that price

it is too much to ask

them to pay

this business of war

costly

ignorance

of all that we are giving up

to stay in it

costs more

than I am willing to watch

fade

like a last

view

of freedom

the days

have gone

the credits

come in full view

and we see the end soon

and to this end

we lost

because it

was not a movie

worthy

of all we are giving up

those days

have gone

when the pledge

we take

has to be the stand

we keep

after the whole

world

has told

us to QUIT

this

makes

it hard

for us to ever

live again

in harmony

with the human race

he made

more than one mistake

he forgot

to ask

and he forgot

to listen

when the world

said

STOP

this insanity

he pledged

us to this fate

and still

he spends

money

to make it all continue

everyday

our way of life

is under fire

and we

are targets

of global HATRED

he made more than one mistake

and we stood

by this administration

and did not dare to question

while the world

keeps SAYING

please America

just STOP

JUST stop

being bullies

JUST STOP

and let us show

you there is

a whole human

race worth knowing

HE MADE more than one mistake

and now we are paying

a price

for those mistakes,lies, and errors

this war is bad business

if it were a direction of a company

we would fire the ceo

declare him

or her insane

because the war

has put us all at risk

for hatred

inside and out

we are fighting

now

about the way things

use to be

the fight to stand

again

will not be easy

we must fight for the way

things use to be!©

Re: Mr. Bush Made One Mistake

Interesting take on this! Never heard of that rumor; but I'm sure any sense of gratitude on Osama bin Hidin's part was overuled by the massive losses suffered by al Qaeda. Was not one of the goals of the invasion to draw al Qaeda into combat and destroy them there rather than allowing them to come here and attack us again?

Be that as it may - what have you to say about the other goals of the invasion, namely the overthrow of Sadaam, the end of his reign of terror and his open support for and funding of terrorism, the freeing of the Iraqis and the establishment of a democratic government? Just wondering . . .

Mr. Bush Made One Mistake
It has often been said that truth is the first casualty of war. In the case of Iraq, truth was a casualty even before the war. Citing intelligent reports, which later proved false, both Mr. Bush and his vice-president created the great urban myth that Iraq was a breeding ground for Al Quaida operatives. Subsequent reports revealed that not to be the case, and subsequent events, precipitated by the fact that Mr. Bush had started the war, provided wonderful opportunities for Al Quaida to get involved in Iraq.

I am in no position to comment on the rumour that Osama Bin Laden sent Mr. Bush a thank you card for making that happen, but I suspect the Al Quaida leader can appreciate an irony as much as the next person, especially such an irony as Mr. Bush creating the exact opposite of what he really wanted. As Peter, Paul and Mary said back in the 60s in a very famous song, "when will they ever learn?"

One hopes before the next election.
