I hear that, strat!  you're probably the best teacher they'll have.  Laying that foundation is a big job, and it takes a special kind of teacher to do it.  They probably love you!

Rock On FYS!

I had a good chuckle at your description of the 'usual' student, who expects everything to fall into place after just a few hours--I've seen a lot of people go through that same process, with everything from drums to piano to fiddles and even the recorder!

I've always held teachers in high regards, but I have a very special place in my heart for the teachers of music! I think it's great that you're sharing your gift with others, even if they don't all have the patience to really learn.

It is great. It's especially rewarding to me,
because I just started doing this. And while I am not the guy to take them to Lollapoloosa, I can certainly get them hooked and take them to a good level. That's all anyone can do, I suppose. But it is very rewarding, to say the least.

And the kids are so danged funny, anyway!
