Thanks, Shelley.
I think it's very important, too -- Gian Carlo Menotti once said "The arts are the bread of life, not the dessert" -- or something like that. But I know what he meant.

I think it's awesome, strat!
I think music is important in young lives, no matter what instrument they play.  Good for you!  Hopefully, they keep at it.

No doubt, Fine Young Singer!
They really have all that unbridled enthusiasm, and they love about any dumb thing you can throw together if it helps them learn. For example, the youngest little guy, the one I was writing about here, now has at least two songs in those chords I taught him -- Strat's world famous "Diaper Rash Blues" and an old classic, "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road." They're silly, but fun, and they teach how words and music work together.

It's a blast, fer sure!

strat---isn't it amazing how fast the kids pick it up?

I think they "get it" better than adults for the most part.  The kids want it so bad they don't care that the chords thud, they work those chords out, don't they!?

Though I have one adult that has been practicing her little heart out, and she's starting to get really good at the chord changes.  It's exciting, isn't it?  Glad you're enjoying it as much as you are!  Teaching music is extremely rewarding.
