There are some really talented poets on Blogit, and I often comment positively on those I like. But, for everybody else, if you want to be in the top ten just follow five simple steps:
1. Write some crap.
2. Present it in stanzas.
3. Make sure it's about Jesus or dogs.
4. Stick a photo under it.
5. Comment like hell.
If you follow the formula you just can't fail!

I've been on and off of blogit several times. It seems that the entries under poetry are increasing monthly. When I first came to blogit, this was not the case. I'm no poet but, I do enjoy reading SOME of the poems here.......others.......well........let's face it........they are painful to read. However, I give credit to ANYONE willing to put themselves "out there"......it takes a certain degree of courage.

Notapoet, your observations are just what I needed this morning. I'm also writing on helium, no success so far (well all of 9cents to be exact) and was about to pack it in. Now, I won't. I'll give it another try. I can't thank you enough. And you are spot on about the poetry. Even I churned out a few of those and lo and behold, people liked them!
