- Go to NEW FILM "EXPELLED" EXPOSES FEAR AMONG SCIENTISTS
Ariala
This film exposes nothing, because there is nothing to expose! The basic premise, that there is some kind of conspiracy on the part of atheists to suppress the 'facts' of creationism is utterly witout basis, but it does, of course, serve a purpose, as do all conspiracy theories...

cheugon, we are in total agreement. I especially salute you for this
statement: "What I don't respect is intolerance and suppression of dissenting views, whether by believers or non-believers." Me too!
The intelligent design group as well as the creation group have very knowledgable scientists that have very interesting insights to share. Years ago I read that book by Gentry that was very good on halos and instant creation...I don't really get into the debate much, but this documentary caught my attention. Thanks for stopping by!

Xeno, as a proponent of free speech, I would think you'd agree that it
doesn't matter what either of us believe as long as it is discussed and presented with equal time. This is all that many scientists want to do, but are being ridiculed for it. Many aren't Christians, they just believe there is an intelligent design behind life...to be ridiculed and banned from sharing that sort of insight goes against the very principles you and I often stand up for - freedom of speech. I haven't seen this documentary, but I plan to. Thanks,
dad!

darn you
I like you so much and I have a viewpoint so different from yours. I am posting some of my viewpoint in my blog. I do see obvious problems with Intelligent Design, and I mentioned some of that in Gomedome's latest posting.
Biggest problem is the woman's birth canal. I have mentioned that a few times, and included it in my comment to Gomedome.
So we disagree.
You are still my (adopted) daughter and I love you.

As a believer in God...
...I can understand why some people choose to not believe...and I respect that. What I don't respect is intolerance and suppression of dissenting views, whether by believers or non-believers. I agree with you, that we should present both sides and let the people decide, after weighing the arguments for themselves. If Athiests are so sure of the correctness of their views, then why don't they allow other views to be presented....that way, they can openly show the weakness of their opposition. Makes you, wonder, doesn't it? The same can be asked of religious institutions. Great post, Ariala!

AardigeAfrikaner, I understand your frustration and I agree that it's
simply mind-boggling how anyone could not believe there's an intelligent designer behind it all, but because of lack of "proof" they choose not to believe...the evidence is enough for some of us...and not enough for others. what bothers me is the "politics" and mockery that come against those who have a different world view. instead of looking at evidence, they want to argue religion. sad, sad.

Great
High time this kind of information reach the public. I could never understand how anybody that has consciousness could even imagine a universe devoid of consciousness. I've even contemplated the possibility that some of these so called "Great Intellects of our time" are actually void of consciousness. They all evade the most fundamental questions about Life and awareness while they hide behind monotonous arguments that read like recipes for cake instead of something alive.
