My sympathies, my second ex is the same type
With her, it is a matter of control. All of the prying into what I am doing and the attempts to lecture me are a power trip that I just walk away from, with whoever of the kids I am taking with me. At times, I have to tell her that since we are divorced, as she wanted, I don't have to listen to her any more.
We know that the key for our own sanity is to focus on the kids away from the ex, to enjoy doing those things the ex would never let us do and generally enjoy being ourselves for awhile. One thing that I found helped me get over the angst of the possibility of getting back together is to simply recognize the fact that she cannot be trusted anymore. One may still not hate and even love one's ex without allowing her to manipulate. Just say, as often as necessary, this little mantra:
I do not hate her. I just don't trust her as far as I can throw her.
