Re: Thanks Xeno-X
I have been an Episcopalian (surprised?) for over 30 years. Have had interests in this denomination. It has a rather free atmosphere.
My daughter's church is in Colorado. I live in Missouri.
My issue is that my thoughts and ideas have evolved and are neither Episcopalian nor Science of the Mind (in its purest essence), but are somewhat similar to the latter.
I guess I will have to elucidate further in THE ECCLESIASTE. Haven't said much about it.

Thanks Xeno-X
You had a better response than my mother did. She came with me on Mother's Day 'bout 5 years ago. Couldn't get out the door fast enough after the service was over. So how come you didn't continue to attend?

I have attended services with a congregation.
My daughter (Kooka's sister) is an adherent.
Very interesting -- very positive.

Hi there Jeff...
Nevertheless, in addition to the positive affirmations, it wouldn't hurt if you eat right, sleep 8 hours, drink plenty of liquids, exercise and take vitiamins and sneak in a prayer before bedtime for the blessings of the day! :)

Thanks for your thoughtful comments arrdidge
Religious scientists can choose to believe that they won't be required to participate in a war and they won't. The war may go on, but it doesn't affect the person who chooses, not to be affected by it. If enough people had this belief, war would have to end because there would be no one to fight it.
As for prosperity, anyone who believes they can be prosperous can be, there is enough to go around for everyone---God provides an abundance of everything we need it is only our belief in lack that makes it seem not to be so.

Belief and Prosperity
Theoretically at least it seems as if, if any single Religious Science believer truly believed that all hatred and war would stop and there will be peace on earth it will happen. Am I wrong? Or do you believe our believes clash and condition and therefore sometimes cancel each other. In other words if enough people believe it all hatred will stop, or does everybody have to believe that at once? I do agree with some of what you believe but my problem with any approach that teaches prosperity is that we can become prosperous if we believe it, but:
We can even become presidents of countries if we and enough of our friends believe it. Take Robert Mogabe for instance. He still believes he can be president and maybe he can. Don't worry about the millions of impoverished, misplaced, assaulted and murdered people who also believed he could save them from the big bad Empire.
Point: Believe in ones own prosperity can and does often lead to the opposite being true for others around you on whose contribution to life your prosperity depends.
