Re: Re:
No offense taken... sometimes the problem with the written word is the lack of facial expression and the ability to 'read' something as it's intended. God knows I've been guilty of misreading someone, lol.

No harm, no foul!

And thanks for the welcome!

Re:
certainly not perfect. this is just how things work here on blogit. we're an opinionated group. this particular post just grabbed my attention since my daughter and I had the EXACT experience at lunch last week when we were celebrating her birthday. we just handled it much differently. After reading your post, my daughter and I both felt bad for the busboy. No harm, no foul. Didn't mean to offend. Welcome to blogit....

Have the right choice

While I appreciate your comment and point of view, I happen to disagree with part of it. While I accept responsibility for MY behavior, I'm still appalled by his. regardless of what MY issues may be, the fact remains that boys who are raised with manners or some semblance of responsibility don't act like that at their places of employment, much less in front of someones parents or 'non' parents. Perhaps if he had acted less like a horny goat and more like a gentleman, I could share you're opinion on him being a 'normal' boy acting in a 'normal' way. Or perhaps you think men acting like horny goats is acceptable behavior in regards to your daughter? While my reaction may not have been stellar, I hope I was able to have them think twice about how they should be treated by a man and that their self worth is NOT defined on how many horny goats try to 'Ram' them. And let's face it, if a man can't treat you with respect in front of your 'parents', he most assuredly isn't going to treat you with respect in private.

As for the rest of your comment, have you ever reacted poorly in a situation regarding your children? Have you ever made a mistake? Have you ever looked back and wished maybe you had done something different? Can no one accuse you also of setting a bad example at any time in your life?

If not, then I commend you for parenting and life skills. We should all aspire to be as perfect as you.

I just read this post to my own daughter....she just turned 18. We both feel that your behavior set a bad example for your "girls".......there was really no reason to insult the busboy.....he was just doing what boys/young men his age do (it's called human nature). Also, your comment to him regarding YOUR experience w/ a fireman you once dated was pointless. Sounds like you have some "issues" that you were trying to "work out" at the expense of the innocent busboy.
