a sin is a sin... those drugs were once legal-- doctors gave them out---
No insults were fired--- you are the one who sought out my page, disagreed with what i wrote and decided that we should blanket drug dealing and give them life in prison. don't take the tone of "power" and tell me to read and read carefully-- i have read what you wrote, i disagreed with it, and i wrote my opinion. you on the otherhand have decided to stick to your closed minded thoughts and feelings about the crime of drug dealing because apparently someone near and dear to you died of a drug overdose and you want closure. for that i am sorry-- but just as if someone took a knife to one of your loved ones... killing that person does not take your pain away. putting the drug dealer in prison for life, or 20 years, does not take your pain away-- its revenge and revenge gets us nowhere. rehabilitation--on the otherhand-- helps take one drug dealer off the streets, teaches him a new way to live and make money, and gives him a new outlook on life where he might positivly impact the children of our future instead of putting him behind bars with other criminals for life or 20 years and making him feel worthless and angry and revengful--- why do you think so many inmates end up back in prison-- because no one cares about the root of the problem.. everyone just wants to lock em up and throw away the key-- because then all of our problems will be solved.

HA---- you read carefully talented singer

For the last time...and read this carefully now, wifey...Drug dealers that

are responsible for selling a lethal dose of an illicit drug causing a death should, in my opinion, most definitely get life in prison.

Comparing drug dealing--a FELONY--to jaywalking or speeding does not offer perspective; neither does your ranting nor putting words in my mouth and then objecting to what you decided I wrote (I E SPINNING)  I don't know what point you're trying to prove here, but firing insults doesn't make for worthwhile debate, either.

Re: Re: I did--- no spinning at all.
alter no-- put in perspective yes... which one of us has never done anything illegal? How can you blanket a wrong doing and say that ALL DRUG "PUSHERS" should be given life? Everything in the justice system should be done on a case by case basis--- not mandatory minimums that result in no good rehabilitation and more taxpayer money. Not to mention the fact that many drug cases involve innocent people that get "snitched" on to save someone else's hide--all the while they didn't have anything to do with the "drug pushing" and those innocent people get put in prison for years and years while the true drug pushers who are ruining your perfect little world are out doing their thing... right under your nose.... it's people with opinions like yours that make our justice system as flawed as it is. So-- for that I thank you-- now i can say i have talked to one.

Re: I did--- no spinning at all.

To quote your post directly: " let's put away everyone who has ever done something illegal. Everyone who has ever smoked pot, taken a pain pill that was never prescribed to them, gone 15 miles over the speed limit, had one too many drinks and drove home, sold drugs to make a living, walked across the street before the "walk sign," hell while we're at it... might as well put the people who ripped the tags off..."

Isn't this all a spin?  Are you not equating jaywalking & speeding with dealing drugs in order to alter your reader's opinion of drug dealing?

I did--- no spinning at all.
You said i was right these men shouldn't have gotten 20 years they should have gotten life-- i responded to that. I never said they weren't drug dealers so I guess I'm a little confused as to where you think i went wrong in my response--- they weren't charged for being drug dealers and being caught with bucket loads of illegal drugs! they were charged for someone buying product and deciding to take it and dying..... case closed. If you want to respond to my comments please read your own first-- then make accusations! and maybe get an open mind--- not all drug dealers are bad people... after all pharmacists are drug dealers--- just ones you call "legal"

In case anyone wants to see what a spin looks like, click this post.
Wifey, If you're going to respond to my comment, respond to what I actually wrote, which was in reference to two drug DEALERS responsible for a death, not what you've written here.  And YES, DRUG DEALERS SHOULD SERVE LIFE SENTENCES.  Absolutely.
