I would guess that, like you, her silences would be to go within....recharge, regroup....there's a line from a song I've always held in my mind - "I close my eyes and watch my world unfold before me"...something like that.....don't you ever watch people being silent and wish you could dive into their thoughts with them, experience their inner lives to just "see" what they are like within themselves?  I do....anyway....great and thoughtful haiku(of course, sometimes, silence is just that.....blissful silence)
