I am just catching up (not having had much time to spemd on Blogit) and I am amazed and glad about how positive and confident you sound. Quite a change! One thing about Carl - it is also amazing that he manages to be a decent guy, in view of his family...

I do hope so.  I have to give Carl credit there, even at our very worst moments, he has always been good about giving me time with Pam.  LOL and it seems I am still the only one who can keep her in line.   She is running circles around Carl these days as she is used to getting her way with him....hehehehe sometimes there are "just deserts".  I stay out of it and give him suggestions when he asks but this is his mess and I am letting him clean it up.

Nice update, Bel. Keeping those toxic folks at a distance is such a

good idea. At least your daughter had some solid time with you and knows her value -- that should help her play the had she's been dealt.
