Re: One would think a house with a cat had no mice...

Nautikos, what is LSW, long suffering wife??

It is true, some cats could care less and most terriers love to hunt anything.....like also like to balance on the backs of chairs, wooden dinigroom chairs, all four feet on two inches of wood and escape from gardens and tear into garbage cans and race like mad dogs all over the garden chasing imaginary cats.

One would think a house with a cat had no mice...
and one would be wrong. Bubbles couldn't care less, so reluctantly we have resorted to traps. Mind you, my LSW gives the dear departed a proper burial in the backyard...

Re: HAHAHAH
I think, majroj, that terriers must be much more sure of their kills than cats. I do remember lizards and bugs escaping from my cats occasionally in olden days.

Re: you won't be troubled much longer with the mice surely. Not with the mouser

Kabu, she is so proud of her offerings. She slept next to the one in the bedroom, until I awoke and found it.

I think that as a terrier, she likes to have defined duties and likes this new job description.

I knew that cats offered gifts, they are very generous like that, but Mosinha surprised me with these mice. The first three she took outside and tossed around after they had died. The next three she left alone and put them somewhere for me.

HAHAHAH
Our cat brought them in and occasionally one got away!

you won't be troubled much longer with the mice surely. Not with the mouser
doggie of yours working so hard. Isn't it wonderful how sure they remain that we really want their offerings.

Re: sam444, Feline? She is a darned dog, a terrier, a mousing terrier

who has the hunting instincts of a cat, it seems.....

You cringe??!?!? IIIIIIII cringe, sigh.....

Can a dog catch as many mice as the mice can reproduce? I sure do hope so. This is about the 6th mouse and I am hopeful that we are getting down to the last Survivor. I can hardly live like this nor take it anymore.

I am going to meet a friend from 30 years ago who has invited me to a margarita at La Parilla Suiza and I am outta this mousie place and over there already, in my mind.

Thanks for reading and for commenting.

Your rat race is driving me insane for you. I cringe for you when I read you experiences. I hope this end soon for you! But I must say you have a great mouser in that feline of yours. sam
