That's what my mother tells me...
but the irony is, she's 30 years older than me but has better skin than I do!

You're right...but I still struggle with it. Three years ago, when mom was
still living she said, "You're not a teenager anymore, accept your body."  Harder to do than one thinks.

I've just learned to accept my body as it is,
respect its needs and not punish it for the sake of vanity. I can't expect to look like a teenager again; everything has its time and place. Loving the skin your in is such a confident message to send out!

I grew up on meat and potatoes (and lots of Italian food!) but then
became a vegetarian...I weighed 95 to 105 most my life...until I reached 40...then it's been tougher to keep it off.  I may still wear a size 6, but I'm definitely not where I used to be or WANT to be.  I love carbs too much to limit them, so I spend time on the treadmill and doing tons of situps...but I find that nothing really helps...hormones maybe?
