- Go to The Madness Rages On...
Beating their tournament opponents by an average of 16 points, Rumored,
they just might. Man, they blew UCLA away...

saul, I'll go with Memphis State at this point simply because I can't stand
the other three.....they likely won't win it, but this is March (April) Madness, so who knows?...

Well, WVU fell last night in a disappointing Overtime loss, so now I'm
free to root for everybody but UNC and UCLA. And I like the Spartans, Rumored, but I think, unless Memphis gives one of their really poor perfomances, Memphis will advance. My favorite team (other than my alma mater) beat Tennessee last night -- Louisville advanced. I just hope they knock off UNC. They don't even have to win it all, just beat UNC. It'll make my year...

saul, I just hope Michigan State keeps quietly playing good ball and
"sneaks" a little further in...a final four appearance would be
great after the roller coaster season they've had......

I'm just as hooked as I ever was, growler. But I think the regular season
champs of every conference should get an automatic bid. The winners of the conference championship series would have to wait for the selection committee (unless, of course, they had also won the regular season)...

Well, I'm a WVU alumnus, sam, so... Barring that, I want Kansas or
Louisville to take it. Barring them, I'll take Mich. St., Davidson or Western Ky or Texas. As long as it isn't UCLA or North Carolina...

Now that all of the local teams in my area(D.C. Metro) are out, I don't care who wins. I used to be able to tell you the starting lineups of every major college. Now, with the kids leaving early, I don't know any of them. The tournaments too democratic. Cut it to 32 teams with each of the big conferences regular season and tournament champs making up half the field and the mid-major conference champs the other and I'm there. This would make the ENTIRE college basketball season interesting, not just one month. And I'm not sure if that month is as interesting as it used to be.
