benzinha - I meant to add that I fixed the problem
I simply removed the space from the image name.

benzinha -Re: for some reason, it wouldn't let me upload the Easter bunny .
The image uploaded okay but was not showing in the image gallery. I don't know why that happened but my guess is that the script doesn't like spaces in image file names. Typical of a lightweight script.

for some reason, it wouldn't let me upload the Easter bunny ghost.

I chose it as the second photo, trying to do two at once.

Then I returned to try to  do it by itself, but it said that I had already uploaded it and couldln't do it again with the same file name...so, I quit.

I know gome, I usually only get bitmaps on my email and sometimes find

them on the internet. PNG is supposed to replace all eventually, I hear. But, yup, my camera does jpgs and so, I usually save all things that way, easier to have the same format for most things, except when playing in Adobe Photoshop and as you say, layering.

I have two more photos for you, the one changed from bmp and the Easter bunny as discovered by some grownups or kids who just happened to have their Easter baskets the day that they found the poor fellow.....

benzinha - I don't use BMP file extensions because I play with a lot of

image producing and editing programs, including my digital camera, that all use .jpeg files.

I use .gif for some animations and some transparent background applications and only use either .gif or jpeg online. Upon occassion I will use a .png file for certain things involving image layering. Because of these reasons; BMP format became redundant to me. It is also almost never seen as a commonly supported file format in open source or Windows based free software.

Nice images by the way, thank you for the contribution.

gomedome, gaining a self taught degree in MIS, without spending

a fortune at some university.

I gave you two photos. Wanted to give the fellow biting a bullet but it is a BMP, bitmap, turns out and you don't take those. Bummer. I did learn that .bmp was not an extension for you. Why?

sam444 - I've been there and very recently as a matter of fact
There was a time when I was afraid to try things in web coding and most things I did try, never worked out. The only advice I can give is to make a back up copy of any code you are working on at the beginning, then with the knowledge that you can restore your project to its original configuration, you can approach the process of trial and error with more confidence. Mistakes are inevitable but to err is the only true way to learn.

ZenMom Re: "i really don't know what you're doing"

That makes two of us.

Actually, I'm trying to write a piece of software that allows me to create image galleries as needed to display products for sale online. So far, I have the framework in place with only a couple of additional features needed to call it a success. The problem lies in the fact that I don't really know what I'm doing but that has never stopped me before.

Thanx for trying it out . . . interesting pictures.
