Thanks, Wonky!
I've been super-busy these past few days, put this weekend I hope to start the ball rolling with my own story, and starting next week I'll try to make a few informational and "call to action" postings per week.

Bunny:

Excellent new blog!  And I for one am glad you have declared it an open discussion forum rather than a name-slinging affair, which is what "discussions" on abortion usually disintigrate into...It seems we are inundated by images and stories of "bad" abortion experiences; these to me have always seemed very exploitative and manipulative (which obviously on some levels they are indeed meant to be).  Even a "right" decision is still difficult in this issue, which many people seem to overlook, or simply categorize under "emotionally traumatic" (i.e. "bad") and use it for a pro-life rally.

So.  What's to be done?  I wonder how the public would actually take positive abortion stories?  The pro-choice movement has always carefully separated itself from "pro-abortion" - as in, while we are in favor of the right to choose, we are not necessarily saying abortion is right for everyone.  I think if tactfully done, though, a few positive abortion stories might be very effective.

Here is the other issue that maddens me:  if abortions are so terrible, so physically horrifying and harmful, why don't we pass more legislation to regulate and protect the safety of patients who have such operations, rather than argue about the morality of the issue?  The morality debate is deadlocked, frankly.  Why not at least make it safer while we're arguing?
