FineYoungSinger, like you I really love the book of Proverbs and yes, we
definitely have a choice to make as we approach the myriad of experiences and challenges that come our way. Thanks for your insightful comment and the added Scripture!

Ariala: I love that entire section of Proverbs:
The two banquets of Wisdom and Folly. We each have the choice, don't we? Dine in the house of Wisdom, dine at the house of Folly. We can't force feed anyone what they don't wish to eat.
"Instruct a wise man, and he becomes still wiser; teach a just man, and he advances in learning. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. If you are wise, it is to your own advantage; and if you are arrogant, you alone shall bear it." 9:9-12
The entire section of Proverbs (ch 1-9) is enough to keep a scripture scholar chewing for years.

Insult and Abuse
Thanks! I am a longstanding people pleaser and I like pretty much every body, so I want to be liked in return. That makes it hard to be my whole, true, real self around those I know are hostile to my faith! But if I really love them, I will tell them the truth for their own sake and you have helped me remember, it is not about me...AT ALL!!!

Bhaskar.ing, no defender needed...just keep walking the walk and talking
the talk, lest the mockers "abuse and hate you!" LOL

Is that so? Then in that case I will be the defender. And, Ari, then it's
fine.

Bhaskar.ing, yes, indeed...these fit in with all, but the websites and
topics I ran into were making fun of Christians and the Bible mostly.

Hence, I wrote it from that perspective.

Thank you for the reminder!!!

Ariala. Why only Christians or the Bibl? Any or all religions
For that matter, the Proverbs are a delightfully universal truth. Debasing others' religion tantamounts to bringing shame to ones own.
