Re: Science and Religion
Perhaps the Science of Religion and the Religion of Science
Science tells us that we are "made up" of myriads of atoms that form molecules that form substances and organs and eventually bodies. All these, even the atoms, are in constant flux (change).
Buddhism teaches that we are a phenomena that arises in dependance and that we consist of Five "heaps" all dependently arisen and conditioning each other.
None of this is "real" in the sense of self existent persistent "things".
So they are both right.
We are waves in Life's Ocean.

I have often had these conversations with others in regards to finding oneself, and to understand if I as you see me, am I just a ball of pieces of 'things', is that table really even a table? Is it science or religion that depicts these answers!!

Perceiving Heaven and Hell as apart from one's Self is a mistaken view
Once you know the truth about your self, you also know the truth about Heaven and Hell.
