My Father says it has changed, as I am sure it has (time not always standing still) it is the friends that I miss most.

It sounds wonderful, like a piece of Americana, sweetened by nostalgia.  Its obvious you are homesick darling,  you need to visit, I hear Spring is beautiful up there :-)  Beautiful poem. Thank you.

Friendship, closeness, concern -- things one can miss living in a large city. Thank you for sharing.
