nicely written - it's sad how harsh words so often spoil what could be good!

Cornstalker, I have found that it is worth going back and reading bloggers very first posts. Often, a new blogger will start out with something really good, or information about themselves, or their very best poem and because no one yet knows they are there it is completely missed. I have often advised a blogger that they should repost that first one because no one read it.

TAPS: I did some recent blog-cleaning myself and discovered there are so many new readers and writers to blogit that I could recycle some of my "stuff" too. In doing so, I realized that "anything worth doing is worth doing well" and I feel we've all done our best, so why not be green and recycle? One should revisit one's work now and then to truly appreciate one's own talents!!

This is a very good poem. The picture shows the total contrast with the words. Great.

Good poem. Soft words are only heard by good listeners though

. The addressed in this poem may be aiming at the hard of hearing too.

TAPS. ..reminds me of a softly spoken word turning away wrath..a sure way
to silence one yelling (well, maybe not always, but quite often..:)...

..I like the twist at the end, too.

Thanks so much. I really have enjoyed taking photos and matching them to poems that I write. Most all of the pictures are my own. If I use something off of the internet, like that one of the prism, I try to remember to post where I got it. I once had a prism just like that one. My husband bought it for me in a shop in Jackson, Wyoming when we were visiting the Teton Mountains. It disappeared several years back so I had to find the picture on the net.
