I wonder what one calls the coat pattern that is quite similar to an ocelot's pattern of spots. If you haven't yet seen this ad, you probably will. Is this something that has just recently developed or have I not noticed it before? I don't recall seeing the variant gray and black tiger stripe pattern that gave me the approprate name for a feral cat that was with us briefly, "Target," when I was young. She had a clearly definined target on her side, and in the last few years I have encountered many similarly patterned cats. Another question, are male calico cats still extremely rare? At one time I remember that breeders were offering $35,000 for the nearly non-existant genetic fluke, of a male calico. I share your love of cats, but I think you already knew this.
