Monday before dark was even better than predicted -- it hit 72 degrees. But AccuWeather flubbed the rest of the forecast. It dropped into the twenties Monday night, and the tail end of our week is both rainy and cold. It never made it to 40 yesterday and isn't expected to rise higher than 37 degrees today. Still not as bad as what you described in Iowa, though. I'll take rainy and cold any day over frozen and heavy snow and ice. It would have been nice if the rest of the forecast had been accurate for around here. But you know what they say, "If it sounds too good to be true...

Rainy and 64? Nice!
This should improve your day: Iowa's dealing with chill factors of minus twelve, 50-MPH winds and blowing snow, and a foot of new snow over layers of frozen slush and ice. Makes me shiver to think of it.
