To respond hesitatingly to difference may be an inherent trait. Yet societies have worsened the problem by introducing laws and concepts which are unfounded. However, as Mr. Obama now shows, decent people respond to their better judgement. We hope this is translated in many other ways, and the nonsense fades as time passes.
