You're absolutely right, growler. It does not excuse their criminal
activity, but those players and trainers and "doctors" that deal and use on a daily basis in the sports world do it at with the full blessings of those in management and administrative positions.  That's why drug testing rules are so lax.  Too much money to be made on these juiced up guys.  Just like with politicians and military brass, none of the movers and shakers will go down for this.  Such is the guise of plausible deniability...

Now you all believe what I told you THREE years ago.  But everyone was on Barry Bonds case then.  I've said this before.  I don't want anyone to go to jail over this.  What bothers me the most is that the owners and Commissioner Bud Selig are going to skate on this and the players and trainers are going to go down in flames.  As usual it's the little man who gets dicked.  What's the old saying, "Shit runs downhill."  This is no different than any other drug operation we see in America except the users benfitted financially.  Big business makes money while the dealers and users go to jail.  And Capitol Hill knows all about it.  Guess, sports does reflect society sometimes.

I've followed Clemens' career and liked his performance, Rumored. However,
if they have enough to nail him (and it is looking as if they do), he does deserve what he gets -- and I don't mean a damned pardon by that f**king idiot in the White House, either.  Although I think Emery was just making PR points with that line, I wouldn't put it past Dubya to do it as he slides out the door in January...

saul, I've never been a Clemens fan, and just hope he gets what he deserves

if his "legacy" crumbles" he has no one to blame but himself...
