Plagiarism is almost automatic when you're working online. You can

cut & paste, and sentences you clip there seem to be written so well it's tempting to just let them stand. But re-writing a paragraph isn't original work. Recipes are almost always copied, handed down, passed on. It's very rare that we create a new dish from nothing. It's almost impossible not to plagiarize these.

Original research, going to the source, interviewing people, checking facts -- it's a lot of work. Which is why writers are so touchy about having someone lift their ideas and take credit for them. I'm sounding preachy here, and I apologize for that. I know you'll keep this lesson in mind as you continue researching, making notes, attributing credit to your sources, and making your way as a writer.
