Hi,TAPS.
I tend to agree with you and the medical professionals. But when circumstances dictate I have to work long hours with little sleep if I'm to earn my check there is little I can do about it other than try to catch up when I can. These days I try to sleep at a regular time every day and usually feel the need to take a nap during the day. This seems to work well except when I have many events to cover in a short span of time before my next newspaper deadline.

A lot of people never get enough sleep on a daily basis, running continuously with sleep deficit. Doctor's say that catch up sleeps really do not help that much. It is more important to schedule eight hours sleep a night. I'm speaking from experience too. All my life I've been doing good to get five hours sleep a night. I think its catching up with me.
