To a certain extent, MiamiNewYork, it would probably be a better
position for women to put themselves in. But to do this, there has to be a decided cultural shift, a psychological shift away from the social institutions, more, values, and traditions we've all been taught. Women and men. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen to women as a whole for centuries (if ever), but can happen to many women on a singular, personal level. But if we can get around teaching the happily ever after myth...
