Re: memory function, etc.

Gardner's theory came out of work done at Yale in the 80's by Robert Sternberg, a Ph.D. studying intelligence.  He seemed to delve further into  research of 3 basic categories of intelligence.  The previous two and only two who delved into creativity was Guilford and Torrence (not related).  I was writing my dissertation book on Creativity, Hemispheric Laterality of the Brain and GRE scores of Adult Students 30 years of age and older at the time.  I covered most of these people in my reading and study, as well as added the dimension of the world of research on brain function done by Gazzaniga following split brain surgeries wherein theminimal front portion of the corpus colosum which was done to prevent severe electrical storms of persons having seizures.  It stopped the seizures.  They got no change in personality but did discover what went on in a great deal of the brain with the two sides separated.  I could probably write a volume on that topic as well.  So  anyway this is a more scientific test and it takes guesswork out of the picture.  It can actually discover closes head trauma in some cases in a child's past by pinpointing problems with visual memory due to a blow to the back of the head from a simple thing such as falling out of bead onto a hard surface.  In order to get the test you must first hold a doctorate in a related field to neurology, neuroscience, education, psychology in order to qualify for the purchase of the test, therefore, I left out the title of the test.  For your convenience, it is called the Wide Range Test of Memroy and Learning.  Just about anyone with a brain can be trained on the administration and general interpretation of the test who has experience in head trauma work where the exam is regularly used.  If you have any other questions, let me hear from you.

memory function, etc.
You speak of a test used to measure various types of memory, but do not name it. Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences and the subsequent checklists, surveys developed to help identify these aspects are fairly useful in schools and give children a freedom to take charge of their own learning.
