Makes you think, huh, ladyoflight? Still, as president, he has no choice
but to show up. Uh, wait a second. Did I just write that after witnessing George W. Bush shatter all vacation records ever by a sitting president (and he still has a year to go)?

You may have a point, New Yorker. I like Obama. I like Hillary. I like
Edwards best, but he's not going to to get there this time around. I also like McCain (and, grudgingly, Huckabee). But they will all have their slights. I don't think Obama will win the nomination, and I don't think Hillary can win the general election. Watch for McCain to win it all...

Agreed, Glennb. But don't get your hopes up. Obama is going to have
a hard time against that Clinton political machine. We'll see...

Re: As much as I like Obama
Ditto and thank you!!!!!! I will never forget his comment in the beginning of January equating Hillary's experience to "having tea with heads of state"
I do not discount that one day he might be capable.... but he needs more experience.... needs to make some more mistakes and take responsibility for the ones he has already made. NONE of the candidates are perfect....as is no man or woman.... He also needs to show up to the US senate more... absent 37 percent of the time?????????

As much as I like Obama
and would not mind seeing him as president in the future, as it is about time that we had a non-WASP as president, as it would truly represent the real face of America today, I think he's jumping the gun too soon. That's why I'm sticking with Hillary. All the broo-ha-ha about how cool it is to support Obama and that he is the change America needs does not convince me one iota. Starting from his un-gentlemanly backturning on Hillary while she was shaking hands with Ted Kennedy. If Obama wants to be president he needs to grow up if he wants to survive, as he'll be surrounded by many a conniving backstabber if elected, and he can't hold a childish grudge against everyone who criticizes him.

Saul Relative,
Interesting? The fact that we will have to face the reality of the "Race" divide may not be a bad thing! I have accepted that it exist because of our failure to confront our fears and false witness! As the Republicans are demonstrating, absent "Race" there are other surrogates of hatred (you know who they are)! This could get interesting and we could all benefit?
