However, for a Children's picture book, finding someone to do the pictures, and then uploading them will get expensive. But I suppose it is an alternative.

There are sites that do e-books which would accomodate you. A small initial outlay is all that is required. Go on yahoo.com and find hard copy publishers who will negotiate with you. This is a good move if you have an 'underground' message!!

Jaz, what a wonderful idea! The only problem I see with it is that some
publishers seem to want NO PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED work and consider any electronic publishing as publishing...It's very frustrating to me to send poetry out because of this very thing.
Still, it might work anyway for what you want to do.
