Guns are probably always going to be a problem. However, my sons were air rifle shooters in tournaments through 4H. I know your sons are young now but my youngest was target shooting at age four. I have been around guns and lots of them all my life, it was good sense to get them trained on guns early. I have never been in a situation where a gun would be a toy so my heart goes out to you. sam
