Why do I write?
I'm like a child. I can find wellness and delight in an ordinary box of crayons. They thrill and inspire me as does words familiar and strange. Like craons, words have always been a medicinal passport to fantasy and wellness for children and adults alike. The single-mindedness of writing and art can win over mind and body with astonishing faithfulness. It's taken me much autobiography to turn my world around from sadness to joy. Writing is a small indulgence for a frugal woman who is still learning to unleach herself from a delicate volatile bottle.
