I don't know, notapoet, but it's a bunch of crap. I think it was devised

by some devilishly clever racist elitist who wanted to keep divisions among everyone ingrained.  You see, we're all Americans, but we're different kinds of Americans -- well, you can follow the logic.  Here's the deal.  One race: human.  Everything else is just accessories on the model.

By the way, notapoet, my people are Cherokee (there's some Indian on my mother's side as well, but they do not know.  In fact, they have no idea what their lineage is).

Great quote!
I'd never run into this one before, but love it since I'M part Chippewa on my mother's side and part Cherokee on Dad's side of the melting pot.  It goes into my book of favorite quotes, and I may use it when I begin serving eviction notices on all non-Native Americans.  Hell, I'm just an ol' Injun boy at heart.  Who the hell came up with "Native American," "African American," and all the other bull crap designations, anway?

I consider no religion "false", Vairocana. People have a right to believe
whatever they wish.  However, they have no right to force it upon another not to deny another's religion (except perhaps in the interest of personal and societal safety).  People have a right to their delusions...

Re: Saul

All conquest by means of violence is "illegal".  It is "rape, pillaging, deceit" = evil.

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all guilty of Evil.  That does not mean all Christians, Muslims and Jews are guilty of the same.  The followers were used (or rather abused) by their "spiritual materialist" leaders.  The culprits who has dumped us humans in this mess we have today are the religious leaders of all the "faiths" (not only the semetic traditions).  Under faiths I include raw materialists/rationalists as well.  Only a religion that does not ask you to have faith in that which you cannot prove for yourself can be a true religion.  The rest are all false.

Technically, you're right, Naut. But one man's conquest is another man's
immigration, perhaps forceful instead of illegal...

Saul
He doesn't know more about it than we do! 'Cause that wasn't illegal immigration, that was conquest!

I say stuff like that about my kids as well, TAPS. The difference is -- I
mean what I say...   For example:  My wife will tell me that it's time to go pick up the kids from somewher.  I'll whine and say, "Do we really have to?"

My dad was quite taken with Robert Orben's early gag books and used his gags quite often in his daily routine of life.  I especially remember him over-doing the quote of Orben's:  "I take my children everywhere, but they always find their way back home."  He thought that was especially appropriate since there were seven of us.  He always got a laugh.

I would, majestic, but I'd have to travel travel about 150 miles (I don't
know any Indians in Atlanta -- and the Braves don't count).  Of course, I could hedge and ask an Asian Indian, but it just wouldn't be the same...
