So very true...
Would that my son had been interested in baseball, but he chose Motocross instead. Other parents were aghast that we let him ride that dangerous dirt bike, but like you say, it was more about the family of racers that we came to know. The guys and girls were always helping each other even though they would be racing against each other. We became closer as a family during our race weekends, we always went with him, even after he turned 16. Now that he is on his own and nearing 27, we still show up for most of his races. He also makes his living selling dirt bike parts he makes himslef. It has been a fun ride.
