What a wonderful post. I enjoyed it thoroughly, for it took me back to my own childhood and to not so long ago. I am all too aware of life's simple pleasures and have never took them for granted. I still take a shower with a minimum of water, Turn the sink off while brushing my teeth, save a flush or two and never do laundry unless I have a full load. Some stuff just stays with you and thank goodness for the little pleasures in life eh

I loved your points and accentuating with your travels through the generations warmed my heart. Isn't amazing how it never seemed like work! I am happy to hear your son got home safely. sam
