Thanks, Sam.
Its fun to make up stories by combining memories and actual events.   Perry Miller and Newt White were actually contemporaries of my mother.  Whatever blood there had been was long gone by the time my sister and I were old enough to investigate on our own.

I love bicycles and was so involved and then it felt like a Toni Morrison read. I didn't expect the death, a sign of  wonderful storytelling.   sam
