If you really believe this last statement of your's, then you must also believe that we were better off under the Torah than Christianity!  Personnaly, I do not share that opinion with you; not at all!!

I only want to add...
There also was no Bible written in those days. They only had the Torah, however the common people did not have access to it. Now, we have a Bible in every hotel in America and yet there was more faith, holiness, and spirituality in those days than there is today. Hmmm.
